No New Posts Snowstorm
Snowstorm is a competition in January for high school aged scouts. Events include Drilling and Manuevering, Knots, Snow-sculpting, Biathlon, and Scooter Obstacle. Snowstorm (or 'Storm for short) is run by the Rock River Valley Council of Girl Scouts with the help of Mariner and Sea Scout Ships 361. Get questions answered here, correct mistakes, make suggestions, or share experiences, either as first time scouts or long time members.

Winter Amidships (WAM) is a winter competition in February in Fond-du-Lac, WI. It holds events such as Tugs, Knots, Compass, Snow Bowling, and First Aid. High school scouts are the main competitors, but questions or inquiries, like other boards, may be answered by previous attendees or administrators of the event.

No New Posts Rock River Regatta
Rock River Regatta takes place in Fort Atkinson, WI in March-April. It hosts Drilling and Manuevering, Splicing, Sinking Sub, Volleyball, Bosun Piping, and various swimming events. Sea Scout Ship 9007 from Fort Atkinson runs this event with the help of the Wisconsin National Guard. Ask any questions you may have about it here.

No New Posts Badger Bash
Badger Bash takes place in Waukesha, WI in June. It includes events such as Morse Code, Volleyball, Frisbee Toss, track events, and Compass. Also for high school scouts, it was recently taken over by the Bay Lakes Council of Boy Scouts. Like the board for Bay Jammer, questions here may be answered by scouts who've previously attended or any officials who happen by.

No New Posts Bay Jammer
Bay Jammer is a competition in July for high school aged scouts. It has been in existence for 55 years (and counting) and draws 300-400 scouts each year. Events include Drilling and Manuevering, Marlin Spike, Canoeing, Log Rolling, First Aid, and Parade of Units. It takes place in the Marinette-Menominee area on the Wisconsin/Upper Peninsula border. Questions here can be answered by groups that have attended before, or possibly Bay Jammer officials that visit from time to time.

Blackhawk Regatta is a competition for high school scouts taking place in late July in Rockford, IL. Run by Sea Scout Ship 508 from Rockford, it holds events such as One Man Canoe, the Jug Swim Relay, Archery, In and Out, and Obstacle Course. Come here to get questions answered or share experiences.

Makahiki is a Hawaiian-themed competition in Warsaw, IN in early August. In addition to Drilling and Manuevering, Compass, and Knots, it also has Paddle Boat, Talent Competition, and Canoe Swamp as unique events. Any questions and experiences are welcome here.

Wider Opportunities are trips for Girl Scouts all over the country. They fill out an application and are interviewed at their council, and all paper work is sent to the council hosting the event, then they choose the girls that will attend. So many memories and life long friends are made on these, and it's strongly recommended that each girl go on at least one in their life time. Post any questions, tips, or places to obtain equipment here...and as always, any moments worth sharing.
